WORIT

Terms of Service

These terms are guidance for running the beta service and will be finalized after legal review before the official launch. In particular, Articles 7 to 10 (community, reviews, reports and account deletion) need legal review before those features are turned on. This English page is a convenience translation; the Korean terms are the reference text if the two differ.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the consumer decision recommendation service (the “Service”) provided by WORIT (the “Company”), and the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the Company and users.

Article 2 (Content of the Service)

The Service includes personalized recommendations based on a user’s tastes and behavior data, place search and comparison, a community and WORIT member reviews, reservation request brokerage, and a paid subscription (WORIT Premium). The Company may add, change or discontinue features to improve the Service, and will announce important changes in the Service.

Article 3 (Accounts and Sign-up)

Users can sign up by email or another method set by the Company, and must not use another person’s information or register false information. Users who wish to use the Service as a partner (merchant) must additionally register business information, and the Company may withhold approval or restrict use in order to verify it.

Article 4 (Paid Services and Subscriptions)

WORIT Premium is a monthly auto-renewing subscription. Payment is processed by Toss Payments, and the price, billing date and cancellation method follow what is shown on the subscription page. Users may cancel the subscription at any time and, even after cancelling, keep Premium benefits until the period already paid for ends. Refunds follow the refund policy. (The subscription and refund pages are currently available in Korean only.)

Article 5 (Partner Reservation Brokerage)

The Company acts as a mail-order brokerage intermediary that relays reservation requests between users and partners. The parties to confirming or declining a reservation and to actually performing it (visit, service delivery, etc.) are the user and the partner. Disputes about reservations are in principle resolved between the user and the partner, and the Company cooperates within a reasonable scope to help resolve them.

Article 6 (Limits of AI Recommendations)

Recommendations, explanations and scores provided by the Service are reference information based on verifiable data and may differ from actual prices, availability, opening hours and so on. The Company works not to generate unverified information as if it were fact, and shows “coming soon” where information is not available.

Article 7 (Community and WORIT Member Reviews)

(1) Users may write community posts and comments and WORIT member reviews. Posts and comments become public when written; a review becomes public only if the user chooses to publish it, and can be set back to private at any time.

(2) Public content shows the public nickname the user chose. A nickname cannot be used by two users, there is a minimum interval between changes, and names that could be mistaken for the Company or an operator (WORIT, operator, admin, official and the like) cannot be used. A nickname does not mean the account is official or verified.

(3) Users must not post other people’s personal information, advertising or spam, insulting or hateful expressions, reviews that are untrue or about places they did not use themselves, or attempt to manipulate ratings or insights (such as repeated posting through several accounts).

(4) Users may edit or delete content they wrote at any time.

(5) Who owns the copyright in content, and the scope and duration of the Company’s right to use content within the Service, have not been decided yet and will be set after legal review before the community and review features are turned on.

Article 8 (Reports and Content Measures)

(1) Users may report content they consider inappropriate; the same content cannot be reported twice by the same user, and users cannot report their own content.

(2) When reports reach a certain level, the content is not deleted but may be temporarily hidden, and an operator reviews it and keeps it hidden or restores it. The Company does not permanently delete content or restrict a user’s use based on a report count alone.

(3) The specific criteria and procedure for restricting use, and the appeal method and handling time, have not been decided yet and will be announced in the Service once they are.

Article 9 (External Platform Information)

The Service may show information from external platforms separately, together with its source. External information belongs to its source, the Company does not guarantee its accuracy, and it is displayed separately from WORIT member reviews. External information integrations are off by default and are provided only when the Company turns them on.

Article 10 (Account Deletion and Content)

When a user deletes their account, that user’s community posts, comments and reviews (including public reviews) are deleted rather than kept anonymously, and replies by other users under those posts and comments disappear with them. Some records, such as payments and reservations, may remain with their link to the account removed. For details, and for retention periods that have not been decided yet, see the Privacy & AI notice.

Article 11 (User Obligations)

Users must comply with applicable laws, these terms, and the Service’s usage guidance and cautions, and must not infringe others’ rights or interfere with the operation of the Service.

Article 12 (Disclaimer)

The Company is not responsible for Service disruptions caused by reasons beyond its control, such as natural disasters, communication failures or circumstances of the payment gateway (such as Toss Payments). These terms are beta-stage guidance, and the official Terms of Service will be updated after business registration and legal review are complete.

Effective date: may be revised from time to time during the beta period.
